Agentero

Agentero is a research workbench designed for AI agents, letting you bring your own AI via ACP (BYOA). It stores research context locally in a Vault of plain Markdown files, with one-click migration from Zotero. Import papers via DOI, arXiv, RSS, or browser extension.

Read with split-screen PDF and agent side-by-side: highlight, translate, annotate, and ask questions with full document context. Features include Obsidian-style [[wikilinks]], BibTeX export, built-in CLI, and MCP support for tools like ChatGPT. Free and open source (MIT).
