Txtinvaders

Txtinvaders combines Space Invaders with classic literature and ASCII. The game is played against a backdrop of literary excerpts, such as passages from Pride and Prejudice, rendered as text rather than conventional graphics.

Players move their ship left and right with the arrow keys and fire lasers at invading aliens. The project was built around a 'fluid text' effect the creator had been experimenting with, combining an interest in literature with an interest in retro games.
